Lesson 5 (Part 8 the blessing of the flowers and water, invocation of divine shakti and the divine acts of creation, preservation and destruction)

Offer a flower on the alter for each mantra:




Om adhara shaktaye namah
OM AWD HA RA, SHOCK TIE YAY NA MAH
We salute and bow to the primal energy force


Om kurmmaya Namah
OM KURM MY YA NA MAH
We salute and bow to Kurma on who’s back the earth is supported


Om anantaya namah
OM AH NAWN TIE YA NA MAH
We salute and bow to he who is without end


Om prthivyai namah
OM PRIT HEEV YIE NA MAH
We salute and bow to the earth



Offer a flower to each container of water and say the following mantra:



Ete gandhapushpe om gam ganapataye namah
EH TAY GAWND HA PUSH PAY OM GUM GAWN A POT EYE YAY NA MAH
With this offering of flowers we salute and bow to Lord Ganapati Lord of the multitudes lord of the path gate.


Using the ankusa mudra(lay the thumb of the right hand across the palm and closing the forefinger, the ringe finger and the pinky over the thumb let the middle finger extend straight out) wave around above the containers of water and say the following mantras outloud


Om gange cha yamune chaiva Godavari sarasvati narmade sindhu kaveri
Jale asmin sannidhim kuru
OM GONE GAY CHA YAW MOO NAY CHIVE AH GOD AH VA REE SARAH SWA TEE, NAR MA DAY SEEND WHO, KA VERY, JAW LAY, AWS MEAN, SON NEED HEEM, KU RU
We Salute the great flowing waters of the earth like the Ganges, Yamune, Godavari, saraswati narmada, sindhu and kaveri may these waters mingle together here with us!


Say the following mantra 11 times out loud will still holding the Ankusa mudra and waving hand around the containers of water:


Om gam ganapataye namah
OM GUM GAWN AH POT EYE YA NA MAH
We salute and bow to Lord Ganapati Lord of the multitudes lord of the path gate!


Sprinkle the water with your right hand over all the offerings and say the following mantra:


Amritam kuru svaha
AW MREE TOM, KU RU SVA HA
Make these offerings blessed and purified to become the immortal essence of the divine!


Blessing of the flowers:


Wave hands over the flowers to be offered using the prarthana ( mudra hands flat fingers extended and tips of thumbs touching) and say the following mantra out loud:


Om pushpa pushpa maha pushpa supushpa pushpasambhave
OM PUSH PA PUSH PA, MA HA, PUSH PA, SOO PUSH PA, PUSH PA SAWM BHA VAY
We salute the flowers flowers of greatness and excellent quality!


Wave hands over flowers again but using the the Dhenu mudra( hands together fingers locked together forming a hollow ball with your hands.) don’t worry all mudras will be listed with illustration once I have posted all parts of the puja :) and say the following mantra out loud.


Pushpa chayavakirne cha hum phat svaha
PUSH PA, CHIE YA VA KEER NAY, CHA, HOOM, FAT SVA HA
Flowers in abundance, may the ego be cut, purified, I am one with the divine!


Invoking the energies of Shakti as well as the divine acts of creation, preservation and destruction:


For each of the following mantras place a flower in front of the image of Ganesh and say each mantra out loud:

Ete gandhapushpe om hrim shrim dum durgayai namah
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM HREEM, SHREEM, DUM, DUR GUY YIE, NA MAH
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the supreme Shakti Durga she who can give a devotee whatever he or she desires


Ete gandhapushpe om hrim klim krim kalyai namah
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM HREEM, KLEEM, KREEM, KALYAI NAMAH
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the supreme pure Shakti Kali untouched by time, unbound, great liberator


Ete gandhapushpe om hrim shrim lakshmiyaye namah
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM, HREEM, SHREEM, LOCK SHMEE YIE YAY, NA MAH
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the supreme Shakti of wealth Lakshmi giver of prosperity and abundance


Ete gandhapushpe om hrim aim saraswatiye namah
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM HREEM, I’M, SARAH SWA TEE YAY, NA MA
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the supreme Shakti of knowledge and wisdom Saraswati seated upon the tongue creator of magical speech


Ete gandhapushpe om hrim Aam brahmane namah
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM HREEM, AAWM, BRAH MA NAY NA MAH
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the divine act of creation


Ete gandhapushpe om hrim um vishnave namah
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM, HREEM, OOM, VEESH NA VAY, NA MAH
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the divine act of preservation


Ete gandhapushpe om hrim ram namah shivaya
EH TAY, GAWND HA PUSH PAY, OM, HREEM, RUM, NA MAH, SHEE VIE YA,
With this offering of a flower we salute and bow to the divine act of destruction
