Shri Ganesha Upanishad

This is probably the most important set of mantra’s concerning Lord Ganesh and is a powerful invocation and expounds his nature and his powers!  Which is something you embody and will awaken and activate, as you proceed upon the  Shri Shiva Shaktipath tantra of Ganesh!  Although you can, effectively recite this in English.  I highly recommend that you learn to recite it in Sanskrit as the benefits will be greater!

Om Gam Namaste Ganapataye

I bow to Gam the first letter and bow to Ganapati its keeper

Tvameva pratyaksham tattvamasi

Bhock ta new kawm pee num, dave um, jaw got ka ra nawm ach you tum

Aw veer bhoo tum, cha, sreest ya dow, pra kri the, puru shot pa rum

To the devoted a merciful deva, the maker of the world, the prime cause, who at the beginning of creation was greater than nature and man.

Evam dhyayati yo nityam sa yogi yoginam varah

AY VUM, DHYA YA TEE, YO, NEET YUM, SA, YO GEE, NUM, VA RAH
He who always meditates thus is a yogin above yogins.

Namo vratapataye namo ganapataye namah

Pramathapataye Namaste stu lambodaraya

He who studies this atharva text moves towards Brahma.

He is always blissful

He is liberated from the five great sins

Who meditates in the night, is freed from sins committed in the day.

Prataradhiyano ratrikrtam papam nashayati

PRA TA ROD HEE YA NO, RAW TREE KRIT UM, PA POM, NA SHY AW TEE
Who meditates in the day, is freed from sins committed in the night.

Sayampratah prayumjano apapo bhavati

SIGH YAWM PRA TAH, PRY OOM JAW NO, AW PAW PO, BHA VA TEE
At both evening and morning he is liberated from all sins. By constant meditation

Sarvatra dhiyano pavighno bhavati

SAR VA TRA, DHEE YA NO, PAW VEEGH NO, BHA VA TEE
With constant meditation, he is freed from all obstacles.

Dharmarthakamamoksham cha vidati

DHARM ART HA KA MA MOKE SHAWM, CHA VEE DAW TEE
and he attains dharma, artha, kama and moksa.

Idam atharva shirsham a shishyaya na deyam

Yo yadi mohad datyati papiyan bhavati sahasravartanat

EED UM, AWT HAR VA, SHEER SHAWM, A SHEESH YIE YA, NA DAY UM

YO YAW DEE, MO HAWD, DOT YAW TEE, PA PEE YAWN, BHA VA TEE, SA HAWS RA

This atharva text should not be given to those not pupils. If from delusion a person so gives, it is out of ignorance, and misfortune arises.

yam yam kamamadhite tam tamanena sadhayet

YAWM, YAWM, KA MA MOD HEE TAY, TOM, TA MA NAY NA, SOD HIGH, YET

Constant recitation of this will bring about the immediate fulfillment of ones wishes and desires.

Anena ganapati ma bhishim chati sa vagbhi bhavati

AH NAY NA, GAW NA PAW TEE, MA BHEE SHEEM, CHAW TEE, SA VAWG BHEE, BHA VA TEE

He who sprinkles Ganapati with recitation of this becomes eloquent.

Chaturthyamanusthanam japati sa vidyavanbhavati

CHA TUR TEEH YA MA NEW STHA NAWM, JAW PA TEE, SA, VEED YA VON BHA VA

TEE

He who recites this on the fourth day(Ganesh chaturthi) each month, will be filled with knowledge

Itya tharvana vakyam

EET YA, THAR VA NA, VAWK YAWM

So says Atharvan

Brahma dya charanam vidyat na vibheti kadachaneti

He will become as the divine and will act accordingly.

He who makes eight brahmanas understand this becomes like the suns rays. In a solar eclipse, in a great river, or in front of an image having recited (this) he gets accomplished in the mantra, He becomes liberated from great obstacles. He is freed from great misfortunes.

Sa sarvavidbhavati sa sarvavidbhavati ya evam veda ityupanishad

SA, SAR VA VEED BHA VA TEE, SA, SAR VA VEED BHA VA TEE, YA, EH VAM, VEH

DA, EET YOU PAWN EESH ODD

He becomes as the divine and see’s all, he becomes as the divine and see’s all and this is the knowledge here in. thus ends this Upanishad.

Om saha navavatu saha nau bhunaktu sahaviryam karavavahai tejasvi

Navad hitamastu, ma vidvishavahai om shanti shanti shanti

Shri Shiva Shaktinath will have a booth set up at "ye old harvets faire" which will be this saturday the 24th of Sept 2011 at Crones Hollow located at 2470 S. Main St., Salt Lake City Utah 84115 and starts at 11am.  Vendors will be set up till 5pm and readers(tarot) will be there till Crones Hollow closes at 11pm there will be entertainment, activities and booths to celebrate the harvest season of 2011. We will feature our items from our Emporium; Gemstone prayer beads/ malas, Tibetan pendants, rituals and ritual items that anyone can use and perform, will also have our Bala Tantra items(childrens Tantra) and a little shrine set up for Ganesh and Lakshmi to promote success, wealth and a good harvest!! please stop by our booth, introduce your self and say Hi!!! :) hope to see you there!

Lesson 5 Shri Ganesha puja (part 10 establishing Lord Ganesh within and activating his energy points in the body and the 12 sacred forms of Ganesh)

Establishing and activating the energies of Ganesh within:

(on both hands slide the tip of the thumb up and down the forefinger while saying the following mantra outloud)

Om gam amgusthabhyam namah

OM GUM AWM GOOSE TA BEEH YUM NA MAH

We salute and establish the gam bija in the thumb

(again on both hands slide the tip of the thumb up and down the forefinger while saying the following mantra outloud)

Om gim tarjanibhyam svaha

OM GEEM TAR JOHNNY BEEH YUM SVA HA

We salute and establish the gim bija in the thumb

(on both hands slide the tip of the thumb up and down the middlefinger while saying the following mantra outloud)

Om gum madyamabhyam vashat

OM GOOM MOD YA MA BEEH YUM VA SHOT

We salute and establish the gum bija in the middle finger

(on both hands slide the tip of the thumb up and down the ring finger while saying the following mantra outloud)

Om gaim anamikabhyam hum

OM GUY’M ANNA MEEK AH BEEH YUM HOOM

We salute and establish the gaim bija in the ring finger

(on both hands slide the tip of the thumb up and down the pinky or little finger  while saying the following mantra outloud)

Om gaum kanishthikabhyam vaushat

OM GOWM KAWN EESH TEE KA BEEH YUM VOW SHOT

We salute and establish the gaum bija in the pinky

(rub your hands together like you are washing them and say the following mantra, and clap them loudly together one time at the end.)

Om gah karatala kara prshthabhyam astraya phat

we salute the sacred letter gah from front to back establishing its energy in the hands and made pure.

Om gam ganapataye namah

OM GUM GAWN A POT EYE YAY NA MAH

We salute and bow to lord Ganapati lord of wisdom, lord of multitudes, lord of the path gate!

(using the tattva mudra by laying the thumb of the right hand across the palm of the right hand towards the the ring finger and pinky keeping the fingers straight out and together. Touch the heart and say the following mantra out loud)

Om gam hrdayaya namah

OM GUM HAR DIE YA YA NA MAH

We salute and establish the gam bija in the heart

(using the tattva mudra by laying the thumb of the right hand across the palm of the right hand towards the the ring finger and pinky keeping the fingers straight out and together. Touch the top of the head and say the following mantra out loud)

Om gim shirase svaha

OM GEEM SHEE RA SAY SVA HA

We salute and establish the gim bija in the top of the head

(using the tattva mudra by laying the thumb of the right hand across the palm of the right hand towards the the ring finger and pinky keeping the fingers straight out and together. Touch the back of the head and say the following mantra out loud)

Om gum shikhayai vashat

OM GOOM SHEEK HA YIE VA SHOT

We salute and establish the gum bija in the back of the head

(using the tattva mudra on both hands by laying the thumb across the palm towards the the ring finger and pinky keeping the fingers straight out and together. Cross your arms touching your shoulders with the tips of the fingers and say the following mantra out loud)

Om gaim kavachaya hum

OM GUY’M KA VA CHIE YA HOOM

We salute and establish gaim bija in the body by crossing both arms

(using the tattva mudra by laying the thumb of the right hand across the palm of the right hand towards the the ring finger and pinky keeping the fingers straight out and together. Touch the three eyes with three fingers keeping the tattva mudra and say the following mantra out loud)

Om gaum netra trayaya vaushat

We salute and establish the gaum bija in the three eyes

(rub your hands together like you are washing them and say the following mantra, and clap them loudly together one time at the end.)

Om gah karatala kara prshthabhyam astraya phat

we salute the sacred letter gah from front to back establishing its energy in the hands and made pure.
